Eydna + Mads
What a day this was. Although I had a wedding in Suðuroy the day before this wedding, I came at 12 o clock, and we still got some preparation shots. Although it’s not normal in the Faroe Islands, I decided to randomly ask Eydna and Mads if they’d like to do a so called “First Look”, since they were gonna walk down the aisle together anyway. Eydna and Mads said yes quickly, and so I got to do that for the first time! And I think it’s safe to say that the photos speak for themselves. Eydna was so beautiful in her minimalistic dress. Seriously, a walking angel. Mads practically came straight out of a James Bond movie in his Tuxedo suit, and with great weather we had an amazing day and got absolutely gorgeous photos!
One thing I felt was absolutely key with this wedding was that we had previously shot engagement photos together. Eydna and Mads were so confident and comfortable when we were shooting the portraits after the ceremony, and it felt really easy for us. Part of the job of being a photographer is making the couple feel comfortable, thus ensuring that the photos are natural and not staged. Mads brought a big part of his family from Denmark up to the Faroe Islands, and it was fun to see the Danish traditions merged with the Faroese ones. Eydna and Mads! Congratulations!!!!!!
